It's pouring here in Watsonville, California and I find myself wishing that I were far away on a sunlit beach. Unfortunately, the closest I am going to get to tropical is gazing into the deep ocean waters of Aquazone. I just returned from a week at MacWorld, my first foray into the world of Mac geeks, where for several of the days, I walked the booth handing out show special flyers, answering questions and showing off the beauty of digital fish who don't die on you if you don't feed them. I actually became pretty attached to my little swimming buddies, and found that other people were equally as excited. If you are not familiar with Aquazone, it's more than just a screensaver, but a series of interactive, virtual aquariums that you can customize. While my poor fish at home swam around a floating vacation feeder, I clicked away on the mouse miles away at Macworld and certainly overfed the buggers on my screen, delighted at the frenzy created when the flakes appeared on the screen.
